Multiple Crashes on Santa Maria River Bridge

On Monday morning, multiple crashes on Santa Maria River Bridge had traffic backed up. According to KSBY News Channel Six, one driver had to pull over after experiencing some kind of medical emergency. Another driver pulled over to help that person get the car moved onto the shoulder. While that was going on, another driver rear-ended a pickup truck that was stopped in the slow lane.

The driver of that car was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. A little while later, an additional crash happened in the area. Thankfully, first responders and crews had the roadway cleared in under an hour. There’s no word on the injured person’s current condition, but the injuries were initially thought to be minor.
