On Saturday in Mission Bay, 2 bicyclists were hospitalized after being struck by a car whose driver left the scene but later returned according to San Diego Police.

The accident happened in Mission Bay Park, Saturday morning around 7:50 am when a 1990 Ford Taurus, which was traveling south on 3500 Mission Bay Drive, failed to make a curve correctly and hit on of the riders. The Bicyclist fractured a lower left leg and suffered facial abrasions said San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

When the first biker was struck the collision caused the seconded biker to ride into a light pole. Both bicyclists were taken to a local hospital for treatment to their injuries.
