Three people died in a car accident in Santa Cruz County yesterday. The tragic accident occurred on Highway 1. NBC News Bay Area stated there was a “Buick was traveling south on Highway 1 when the driver lost control of the car, most likely because he was speeding, and overcorrected. He crossed over the double yellow lines into the path of the Chevy, which was traveling north on Highway 1.” The Chevy driver then broadsided the Buick. The driver of the Buick was taken to the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose and succumbed to his injuries shortly after. His passenger died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Chevy was flown to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas and died hours later.
