On Tuesday, a pedestrian was struck and injured on La Jolla Village Drive in San Diego. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 9:15 p.m. Initial reports indicate that a 2007 Toyota Camry struck the 51-year-old pedestrian head-on. The 21-year-old driver reportedly saw the pedestrian too late and was unable to keep from hitting him.

The injured pedestrian was rushed to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Thankfully, his injuries were not described as life threatening. There has been no word on whether or not any charges or citations have been made. At this time, the cause of this pedestrian collision is still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
