A five-year-old girl was attacked by an unleashed pit bull in a Contra Costa park, Point Pinole Park. Initial statements confirmed the pit bull bit the child in the chest, and a helicopter, patrol car, and fire truck were called to the scene. “Luckily, when I landed and made patient contact, it turned out that it was a minor injury to her chest. However, the pit bull did grab her and drag her for a significant amount of time prior to releasing her,” one officer stated. The puffy jacket saved the little girl from suffering major injuries. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers have the girl in our prayers in hopes she can mentally, physically and emotionally recover from this attack. Dog bites can affect ones’ life forever.
