An eighteen-year-old boy was killed by an Amtrak train in Montecito on Saturday. Just a senior in high school, Connor O’Keefe, is now mourned by his friends and family. “The train engineer observed the subject on the tracks and activated the horn, whistle and braking system, but the subject did not respond and was struck by the train,” Noozhawk. The toxicology reports have yet to be released, however, this accident shook the Santa Barbara community.
