On May 1, 2013, (the first day of Bike Month), Myron “Skip” Amerine was hit while riding his bike on Highway 1. Skip was following all the rules and regulations of riding a bicycle safely on the road. Unfortunately, a distracted driver hit him from behind causing Skip numerous injuries. Skip was rushed to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center to be taken care of for his injuries. Skip’s injuries included a concussion, compound fracture of a lower vertebra, and bruises and abrasions from head to foot. Luckily Skip didn’t received more serious injuries and he is on the road to recovery.

Skip is very fortunate to come away from this accident with his life. Distracted drivers often cause serious and sometimes fatal accidents. We follow the plea of Skip’s loving wife, Please do not drive distracted! Conversations, food, music, and other distracting activities can wait.

We wish Skip had never been involved in an accident such as this, however, here at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers we are glad to represent Skip and make sure he receives the medical and financial recovery he deserves.
