On Wednesday morning, a cyclist was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Ramona. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on the northbound side of State Route 67, near Dye Road, sometime before 6:15 a.m. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that the cyclist was ejected from her bicycle and landed on the roadway. The vehicle involved, a 2019 Black Ford Edge, fled the scene after the crash.

 

They cyclist had to be airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for treatment of major injuries. There has been no word on her current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver is being asked to contact the California Highway Patrol.
