On Wednesday morning, there was a big rig crash on State Route 125 in La Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened near Spring Street at about 6:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that a break between the truck and it’s trailer caused the trailer to hit a guardrail.

The truck was hauling an 81,000-pound cement block at the time of the crash, and it toppled onto the freeway. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved in this crash. This incident is likely still under investigation with authorities to determine if the load was properly secured and if all federal safety regulations were being met at the time of the crash.
