Big Rig Fire on I-5 Freeway

Earlier this week, there was a tractor-trailer fire on the Five Freeway. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the semi-truck burst into flames at about 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened in the southbound lanes at Lower Water Hole. Multiple fire departments were called to the scene, since there were strong winds in the area that were fanning the flames.

Initially, only the southbound lanes were closed, but officials eventually closed both sides of the freeway through Grapevine and in the Fort Tejon area. At this time, there has been no word on what started the tractor-trailer fire or if anybody was injured. This incident may still be under investigation with local authorities.
