This month, we’ve decided to spotlight one of our San Jose top litigation attorneys, Brent J. Griffith. Brent’s personal injury experience began when he interned for Harris Personal Injury Lawyers in 2011 while attending Brigham Young University in Idaho. Brent experienced many aspects of the legal process and saw his future as a personal injury attorney.
After receiving his undergraduate degree, Brent furthered his education and received his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. Brent not only attended law school on an academic merit scholarship, he was a member of the renowned Mock Trial Program at Cal Western School of Law. His experience at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers and law school directly correlates with his successes in and out of the courtroom. Brent’s passion for advocacy allows him to represent injured victims with the highest quality legal representation. Was there someone who influenced you to be an attorney?
“Early on in my undergraduate studies, I thought that my skill set would be valuable in the legal field. So, Ryan Harris allowed me to do a semester internship in his Santa Barbara office to explore the practice of law and see firsthand what it’s like to be a litigator. After that internship not only did I know I wanted to be an attorney, but I knew I wanted to be a personal injury attorney.”
What schools did you go to?
“BYU-Idaho for Undergrad and California Western School of Law for my Juris Doctorate.”
What do you like most about being a PI attorney?
“I enjoy battling the profit-driven insurance industry on behalf of my injured clients. I care about each client and enjoy going to battle for them to ensure adequate compensation for their loss.”
What are you the most passionate about?
“I’m passionate about my family. My wife and kids are my number one priority and passion.”
What is your philosophy when representing a case?
“My philosophy with every case is to go on the offensive and figure out ways to constantly put pressure on the Insurance company to get my client what they deserve.”
Fav restaurant in San Jose?
“Currently – Picasso. It’s a Spanish Restaurant in Downtown.”
Favorite place to vacation?
“Anywhere new and interesting.”
“My favorite concert was Metallica at Petco park with my brother a week after I took the bar exam.”
A fun fact or something exciting about you or your life/family.
“My wife and I thought we met in college. Two years into marriage we found a picture of us as teenagers at a dance in Santa Barbara and I had my arm around her. Neither of us ever remembered meeting.”
