Car Chase and Crash in San Diego

On Wednesday, a car chase ended in a crash in Rancho San Diego. According to ABC News Channel 10, the incident began on Avocado Boulevard near State Route 94 and ended four miles away near the intersection of Jamacha Road and Calle Albara. The 19-year-old diver, Athraa Saqat, struck another car before crashing into a retaining wall and hitting an electrical box. Saqat and at least one other person had to be transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Saqat was booked into the Las Colinas Detention Facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, felony evading and hit-and-run. The other victim was reportedly treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but there’s no word on that person’s current condition or the extent of injuries involved.
