Last week, a vehicle crashed into the Lompoc Valley Medical Center Emergency Department entrance. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened on Thursday morning at about 6:00 a.m. The driver involved reportedly ran into the building and hid in an office after the wreck. Police officers arrived on the scene and arrested that person on suspicion of violating parole and driving under the influence of drugs.

The vehicle shattered a glass window at the main entrance. Hospital staff reportedly jumped into action with their emergency protocols. Thankfully, no injuries were reported on the scene, and the wreck didn’t impact hospital operations. There was no structural damage to the hospital, but repairs were necessary after the crash.
