Early Wednesday morning, a car crashed into a power pole and struck a house in Lemon Grove. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on the 2300 block of 69th Street at about 1:15 in the morning. Very little information about this apparent one-vehicle wreck has been released, but we do know that the car was headed eastbound on Mt. Vernon Street and failed to stop at a T-intersection prior to the crash.
Unable to negotiate a turn, the car hit a power pole, crashed through a wall and hit a home. Excessive speed is suspected to be a factor in this crash. The homeowner and another person were able to help get the driver out of the vehicle. That person was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. This wreck is still under investigation.
