Car Slams Into El Cajon House

Early Tuesday morning, a woman was injured when a car slammed into the front of her home in El Cajon. According to NBC San Diego Channel Seven News, the incident happened near North 1st Street and Broadway at about 1:00 a.m. The driver of a Toyota Corolla went through a wrought-iron fence and crashed into the home, which was situated at the end of the street.

First responders were swiftly on the scene where they administer a field sobriety test to the driver. He failed, and was taken into police custody. A resident in the home was injured, and a relative came to pick her up. At this time, there’s no word on what charges the driver is facing or the extent of injuries involved with the victim.
