A chain-reaction crash on SR-94 took the life of one woman over the weekend. A San Diego Human Society pickup truck was stopped near the center median of the Highway. Two passengers were that vehicle, they were about to exit the pickup to capture a loose dog on the freeway. The dog ran into the lanes and multiple cars swerved to get out of the way. A Camry came to a stop in the No. 1 lane, and a Dodge truck, also in the No. 1 lane, swerved into the median to avoid the Camry, and was struck in the right rear corner by a GMC Yukon towing a trailer that was unable to stop in time Per CBS 8 News. The force of the vehicles pushed the Camry into the Humane Society pickup truck. The woman in the Camry suffered head trauma and succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The crash is currently under investigation.
