Child Struck by Car in Santa Barbara

On Wednesday afternoon, a child was struck and injured by a car on Hollister Avenue in Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened at about 12:32 p.m., near San Marcos High School. The child reportedly suffered from minor injuries, but there’s no information on the extent of those injuries. Also, we don’t know how old the child was or the circumstances of how this collision could have happened.

First responders with the Santa Barbara’s Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol were quickly dispatched to the scene. The child was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital after the collision. Very few details were released, but we do know that the child was injured in this pedestrian-versus-car collision.
