On Friday morning, a car hit a 12-year-old girl when she was walking to school in Santa Maria. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the collision happened near West Main Street and Thornburg Street. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that the girl was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center, where she was then airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
She was on her was on her way to El Camino Junior High School at the time of the collision. There has been no word on the extent of her injuries or her current condition.
