On Monday morning, a CHP officer’s patrol vehicle was struck while she was assisting a driver on Highway 101. According to KSBY News Channel Six, the incident happened on the southbound side of the highway, near Marsh Street. Very little information has been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that the officer pulled over to assist a driver with a flat tire.

The CHP officer parked her patrol vehicle behind the disabled car and put her lights on. A vehicle struck the back of the vehicle, and both the officer and the driver of the car that hit with the patrol vehicle were injured in the crash. Thankfully, their injuries were not considered life threatening.
