Over the weekend, as many as ten cars were damaged by concrete blocks that appeared to be deliberately left on Interstate 8. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near Dunbar Lane in Alpine. Vehicles sustained damage to their tires and wheels. Law enforcement officers found concrete parking stops and cinder blocks on the shoulder of the road too.

On Monday, there was another incident involving concrete blocks in a roadway. This time, it was on the freeway at Japatul Valley Road. Officials do not think the two incidents were related. The blocks that were found on Monday appeared to have fallen off of a truck. Law enforcement officers are asking anybody with information about the I-8 incident to come forward.
