Couple Attacked by Dogs in Ramona

Last week, a couple and their dog were attacked by two loose pit bulls in Ramona. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at the Kmart parking lot in the 1800 block of Main Street. Very little information has been released about this dog attack, but initial reports indicate that the couple was walking their dog when two pit bull type dogs charged them.

The woman was taken down trying to rescue her own dog, and the man used his walking cane to try to get the dogs to stop. When the walking cane broke, he resorted to punching one of the dogs with his bare hands. The couple and their dog suffered from severe injuries, including bites to the face, hands and arms. The dog owner reportedly took his dogs and fled the scene, and this incident is likely still under investigation.
