On Wednesday morning, there was a crash involving a concrete truck in Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 101, just north of Garden Street, at about 9:00 a.m. Very few details have been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that the driver of a pickup truck was hauling a trailer that exceeded the truck’s safe towing capacity.
The trailer overturned in the roadway, and cement poured onto the road. Two of the three lanes on southbound Highway 101 had to be closed as first responders and crews worked the scene. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported. This incident could still be under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
