Cyclist Hit and Injured by Motorcycle in Pacific Beach

Over the weekend, a cyclist was struck and injured by a motorcycle in Pacific Beach. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Reed Avenue on Saturday afternoon. Apparently, a group of cyclists entered the intersection, when for currently unknown reasons, a southbound Harley Davidson struck one of them.

The 49-year-old cyclist sustained a broken left femur and broken ribs, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 23-year-old motorcycle rider did sustain some road rash during the collision, but it’s unclear whether he went to the hospital or not. A portion of the roadway had to be closed in both directions as crews and law enforcement officials worked the scene.
