On Thursday afternoon, a cyclist was injured in a head-on collision with a vehicle in the hills above Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened in the 3000 block of Gibraltar at about 5:15 p.m. Very little information has been released about this bicycle-versus-car collision, but we do know that a 33-year-old cyclists was heading downhill when his bicycle hit the vehicle head-on.
First responders rushed to the scene. The cyclist was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. There has been no word on his current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved. This collision could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
