On Sunday, a woman died after losing control of her car on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. Her passenger was injured as well. She was driving westbound on Ventura Boulevard when she abruptly turned onto the southbound 101 freeway onramp. When doing so, she lost control of her car and hit a power pole. According to the Daily News, the vehicle then continued onto the sidewalk and struck a chain-link fence, causing the car to rotate sideways and the driver side to hit a metal light pole.

Unfortunately, the driver was confirmed to be dead on the scene, while the passenger was immediately taken to the hospital with injuries. Officials alleged that the woman was driving at an unsafe speed and an unsafe turning movement caused the deadly accident. The name of the woman has yet to be released. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the woman driver.
