An accident between a work truck and another car caused a massive spill of diesel fuel over the southbound lanes of Highway 101 in Ventura, California. The incident occurred Monday morning near the California Street exit of the highway when the smaller vehicle hit a center divider. CHP responded to the scene along with a crew from Patriot Environment Services to clean the spill of hazardous materials.

The truck was able to pull to the side of the road after the accident. 50-60 gallons of fuel are estimated to have spilled over the road. Traffic was slowed.
