Over the weekend, a car flew off of Highway 76 in Oceanside and landed approximately 80 feet below ultimately killing the driver. This unfortunate accident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fox Five San Diego reported, “Investigators believe the car had been heading north on Canyon Drive, which ends at the intersection. It went through the signal without turning, hit a curb and concrete retaining wall and went airborne for about 80 to 100 feet before landing on a bike path north of the intersection and rolling over.” The drivers’ name has yet to be released, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
