Driver Trapped in Wreckage on SR 94

Earlier this week, a driver was trapped in wreckage after a collision on State Route 94. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened near Lemon Grove Avenue on Wednesday evening. Initial reports indicate that there were two vehicles involved in the crash, and one of them ended up on top of a center divider. Apparently, a white Lexus rear-ended another vehicle, but the force of the impact sent the Lexus onto the center divider.

First responders rushed to the scene, where they had to extricate the driver from the wreckage. While emergency responders were getting that person out of the vehicle, several cans of what appeared to be beer fell out of the car. During the rescue, the vehicle nearly fell on crews. Thankfully, none of them were injured. The driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries and evaluation.
