On Wednesday evening, a suspected drunk driver hit a pedestrian in Bankers Hill. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near First Avenue and the on-ramp to northbound Interstate Five at about 8:45 p.m. Very few details have been released about this crash, but we do know that a pedestrian was struck by a Lexus sedan that fled the scene.
First responders and crews rushed to the scene, and a portion of the on-ramp had to be closed until after 11:00 p.m. No information has been released about the extent of injuries involved or on the woman’s current condition. The driver was apprehended a few hours later on suspicion of drunk driving.
