Drunken Street Race Ends in Neighborhood Crash

A drunken street race is being blamed for one car crashing into a house and another into a parked truck. According to Fox Channel Five News, the crashes happened late at night on Mission Avenue in Escondido. A 21-year-old driver in a Dodge Charger was apparently racing a 26-year-old driver in a GMC Pickup truck. The pickup truck driver cut in front of the Charger, and both of the vehicles crashed.

The Charger went through the front of a house on 743 Pittman Street. The residents were inside sleeping. Thankfully, none of them were injured. The pickup truck struck a parked truck that was in another homeowner’s driveway. The driver of the Charger did sustain minor injuries, and both drivers were arrested.
