Over the weekend, a suspected DUI crash knocked out power to more than 500 homes in the Linda Vista area. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the collision happened at Drescher Street and Kelly Street, at about 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night. Although very few details about this crash have been released, we do know that the vehicle struck a power support cable. The driver was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

San Diego Gas & Electric didn’t have power fully restored to the area until about 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Injuries were reported in the crash. At this time, there has been no word on the extent of citations and charges involved with this suspected drunk-driving crash.
