On Monday morning, eight people were injured in a head-on crash in Pauma Valley. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on State Route 76, about a half-mile west of Casino Pauma, at about 8:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this crash, but we do know that five adults and three children were transported to Palomar Medical Center Escondido for treatment of injuries.
A portion of the roadway had to be closed down between Pauma Reservation Road and Cole Grade Road. There has been no word on anybody’s current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved, and this wreck is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
