Elderly Person Injured in Fallbrook SUV Crash

Last weekend, an elderly woman was injured in an SUV crash in Fallbrook. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on South Mission Road, just south of Quail Knoll Road, on Sunday. For currently unknown reasons, an SUV left the roadway and crashed down an embankment. First responders, including firefighters, law enforcement officers and paramedics, rushed to the scene.

The elderly woman had to be extricated from the wreckage, and firefighters had to bring her back up to the roadway. She was then transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on her current condition, but thankfully, her injuries were not described as life-threatening on the scene. This crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
