Early Tuesday morning, a pedestrian was killed by an Amtrak train in Encinitas. The accident occurred around 5:00 a.m. and investigators are currently determining why the person was on the tracks. The accident caused Trains 573 and 564 to be cancelled. The track reopened around 7:30 a.m. this morning, NBC San Diego.
