Escondido Crash on I-15

A multi-car crash left wreckage on I-15 near Deer Springs Road on Monday morning, September 23rd. The crash, which involved an SUV towing a trailer, happened just before 5:00 a.m. All lanes had to be shut down, and a Sig-alert was issued. ABC Channel Ten News reports that a Ford Expedition was pulling a trailer when it jackknifed on Interstate 15 near Escondido.

When the SUV’s trailer jackknifed, it flipped and spilled its contents all over the roadway. The trailer was filled with household items, pieces of furniture and beds. The crash involved multiple cars and left debris on about a quarter of a mile of the freeway. Crews were cleaning for more than an hour. The Sig-alert was finally canceled at 7:30 a.m. There is no word on whether or not any injuries were sustained during this multi-car collision.
