Escondido Pedestrian Killed

On Sunday night, a pedestrian in Escondido was fatally struck by a pickup truck. According to ABC Channel 10 News, the incident happened at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Broadway, at about 11:15 p.m. apparently, the pedestrian, a male believed to be in his mid-30’s, was trying to cross the intersection when he was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck.

Although the pedestrian was transported to Palomar Medical Center immediately, he did not survive his injuries. Initial reports indicate that the driver had a green light, but didn’t see the pedestrian in time to stop. The cause of this fatal pedestrian crash is likely still under investigation with authorities.
