On Tuesday night, there was a fatal crash involving a car and a semi truck in Otay Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident started with a Border Patrol pursuit. There was a high-speed chase involving speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. The driver of the fleeing car lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer. The car got wedged under the truck and went into a ditch.

There were three people in the car at the time of the crash. Two of them were killed in the crash, and one of them was rushed to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries. There has been no word on that person’s current condition, and this incident is likely still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
