Fatal Drunk Driving Crash at San Diego Roadside Camp

Earlier last week, a vehicle crashed into a roadside camp and killed three people in San Diego. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on the 1500 block of B Street, just east of Park Boulevard, on Monday morning. Initial reports indicate that the driver jumped a curb and then crashed into the makeshift encampment. The vehicle struck a group of at least eight homeless people.

Three of them were killed, and another five people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. As of Monday afternoon, at least two of them were still in critical condition. The driver was arrested and booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, causing great bodily injury during the commission of a felony and DUI. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
