Fatal Hit and Run in San Diego

On Saturday, a hit-and-run crash took the life of a 27-year-old woman in Ocean Beach. The incident happened sometime before 6:00 a.m. near Nimitz Boulevard, south of the on-ramp to Interstate 8. A passerby found the body of Amber Schei and swiftly called the authorities. Sadly, Schei died on the scene from multiple blunt force injuries. She was riding a skateboard at the time of the crash.

According to Fox Channel Five News, the perpetrator was driving a 2009 Ford Mustang and sustained damage to its front windshield and passenger side vertical support pillar and window. Officials are asking anybody with information about the hit-and-run driver to call the police at 858-495-7805.
