On Sunday night, a man was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Chula Vista. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on the 400 block of Moss Street, just before 10:00 p.m. Very few details about this fatal pedestrian crash have been released, but we do know that the victim was reportedly about to get into his car to go to work when a dark gray BMW struck him and drove away.

First responders rushed to the scene, where the man was left bleeding with a severed leg. He did not survive his injuries. Law enforcement officials are asking anybody with information about the BMW to come forward. The vehicle likely has front-end damage and lost part of a headlight. This is the fourth unsolved hit-and-run crash in Chula Vista since the start of the year.
