Fatal Motorcycle Crash East of Santa Maria

Last week, there was a fatal motorcycle crash just east of Santa Maria. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened on the 4900 block of Foxen Canyon Road in Sisquoc. Very few details about this head-on crash have been released, but we do know that a motorcycle and a sedan were involved. Initial reports indicate that the motorcyclist was killed in the crash, and three people who were in the sedan were injured.

First responders rushed to the scene, where the wreck caused a nearby brush fire. Thankfully, crews were able to extinguish the blaze. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the motorcycle rider, and the cause of this fatal head-on motorcycle crash is likely still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
