Last week, there was a fatal crash involving a semi-truck just west of Orcutt. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened on the 1900 block of Highway 1, near the Rancho Maria Golf Club, on Friday afternoon. Very few details about this fatal truck crash have been released, but we do know that one person was killed and four others were injured in the wreck. Initial reports indicate that a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles collided, and the tractor-trailer overturned during the crash.
First responders rushed to the scene, where one person was pronounced dead. Four other people were transported to Marion Regional Medical Center for treatment and evaluation of injuries. A portion of the roadway had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene.
