Last Thursday, a man was killed in a trailer-loading incident that happened near Lompoc. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened in the 2300 block of Sweeney Road. Very little information has been released about this fatal incident, but we do know that a man was pinned between a truck and trailer while he was loading it. The man was a vineyard worker in the local area.

He was reportedly trying to load a forklift onto the trailer at the time of the incident. For currently unknown reasons, the truck and trailer began to slide and jackknifed. The man was pinned between the truck and trailer when he tried to get out of the cab. Cal-OSHA representatives have been notified, and the situation is likely still under investigation.
