Last week, there was a fatal crash involving a semi truck on I-8. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Friday night near State Route 67. Very little information has been released about this crash, but we do know that a driver reportedly lost control of his car hit a tractor-trailer. The car became lodged under the tractor-trailer and was dragged for a couple hundred feet. That car and the back of the semi truck burst into flames.

The driver of the car was not able to escape from the wreckage and died on the scene. Initial reports indicate that the driver of the car may have been cut off by another vehicle prior to losing control of his vehicle. This incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
