Fiery Motorcycle Crash at Dangerous Intersection

Last week, there was a fiery motorcycle crash in Jamul. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened at an intersection well known for being very dangerous. The wreck happened at Campo and Maxfield Roads. Apparently, a truck pulled out into the intersection of Campo Road from Maxfield Road and stopped. An eastbound motorcycle slammed into the truck and immediately exploded into flames while ejecting the rider.

A local business owner heard the collision and ran out with fire extinguisher. He was able to put out the fire, which had fully engulfed the motorcycle and injured rider. The rider was lucky to survive the crash, but did experience serious burns to his hands and legs. The local business owner says he’s seen at least eight serious crashes at this intersection including a fatal pedestrian collision.
