Four Injured When Car Crashes into Koreatown Homeless Encampment

Earlier this week, at least four people were injured when a car plowed into a homeless encampment in Koreatown. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on Tuesday morning on the 500 block of South Virgil Avenue. Initial reports indicate that the vehicle was involved in a collision with another car prior to driving up onto the sidewalk where the homeless encampment is located.

There were three people in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and they were all transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Additionally, a man was on a couch in the encampment when the vehicle struck him. He was initially pinned under the car, but first responders were able to free him and get him to the hospital. This crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
