Four People Injured in San Diego Drunk Driving Crash

On Sunday night, two separate crashes involving two drunk drivers sent four people to the hospital. The initial wreck happened at about 11:40 p.m., when a suspected drunk driver hit parked cars in a parking lot near Park Boulevard and University Avenue. According to Fox Channel Five News, the 42-year-old driver then attempted to flee the scene, when he ran a red light at the intersection for Park and University.

He then struck a moving vehicle, whose driver also happened to be a suspected drunk driver. Both passengers and drivers from each vehicle were injured in the wreck. The second driver suffered from a broken neck, but was expected to survive. Both drivers are facing charges of drunken driving, and the first driver is also facing a hit-and-run charge.
