Giants Kicker Arrested For Hit and Run in Chico
Earlier this week, New York Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas was arrested on hit-and-run charges in connection with a crash in Chico. According to an ESPN News report, Rosas is facing misdemeanor hit-and-run charges and driving on a suspended license charge.
Although very few details about this hit-and-run crash have been released, we do know that Rosas was in a black Chevrolet SUV at about 8:25 a.m. on Monday morning when the wreck happened. Additionally, law enforcement officials are looking into whether or not alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in this crash.

Initial reports indicate that Rosas was driving erratically prior to the wreck. According to witnesses, he crossed the double yellow lines and was traveling at high rates of speed. He ran a red light and then t-boned a Ford pickup truck. Rosas then drove away from the scene and continued driving until his wrecked SUV came to a stop. He then fled the scene on foot.
Law enforcement officers were able to catch up with Rosas a short time later. He was walking near the scene of the crash with blood on his hands, legs, and bare feet. He was taken to Enloe Medical Center for treatment of injuries and was booked into Butte County Jail sometime after that.
Will There Be Additional Charges For Giants Kicker Rosas?
Rosas was a 2018 Pro Bowl kicker and made 32 of 33 field goals in the previous season. At this point, it remains to be seen if he will be facing any other charges, and at this time, there has been no word on whether or not the driver or anybody in the other vehicle was seriously injured in this crash. This incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
