A young girl was visiting an animal shelter in Romoland, California, was attacked by a dog, and required 1,000 face stitches. The seven-year-old girl was visiting A Passion for Paws Akita rescue kennel in Romoland, California on May 26, 2019 when she was attacked. According to The Sacramento Bee, a dog, identified as a 2-year-old male Akita at the privately-owned kennel, lunged at the girl and bit her on the face. The girl was immediately rushed to the hospital and underwent 3 hours of intense surgery on her face. Other reports made by ABC Seven News confirmed, this is the fifth serious bite in recent years at the private kennel.
