On Monday morning, a Good Samaritan was hit by a vehicle while helping a stranded motorist in Ocean Beach. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, a couple pulled over on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard after experiencing some trouble with their vehicle. Shortly after they pulled over, another driver pulled over to offer assistance.

As the man was checking under the hood of the stranded vehicle, a motorist sped past them and struck the door of the parked vehicle and the Good Samaritan. He was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. The hit-and-run driver fled the scene. Law enforcement officers are looking for a gray or silver Subaru or Subaru-type vehicle with right front-end damage.
